![]() I also looked at the Marshall DSL40CR (2018 model) and it also seemed really good but I'm thinking it might be too much? Its only $100 more than the Bassbreaker 15 where I live. I spend a lot of time experimenting with my gear basically and seeing how far it goes. I find with most amps it takes me a few weeks or even months to really get a true 'feel' for it overall. The other thing is, I only tested it for 10 minutes and didn't really spend as much time as I want with it. I've read some people online saying its gig worthy, others saying it isn't because of the lower headroom (15W.) Problem is at my store, I only tested it in a sound proof room which all though lets me hear the amp well, I don't know how it would be in a gig scenario. To me when I tested it in store, it seemed like an amp I could use at home more easily than most tube amps I've tested. I like how it has selectable gain staging and the simple looks controls and how responsive the EQ and volume is. ![]() I'm looking to buy my 1st tube amp and really interested in the Fender Bassbreaker.
